board outline segments merge

archive
archive over 18 years ago

Hi everyone,

Have a great day ahead.

I am using Allegro Expert 15.5.1. I am using up a complex board ouline, so i drew it in different segments. Now I am not able to merge these segments in class:board goemetry;subclass:board oulline for easing in my power plane cut. Can anyone suggest me a option to do so.

Thanking you in advance,

regards,
Pavan

    Hi Pavan,

It should be possible to use the command Shape, Compose Shapes - have the "Use Autogap" checked in the options tab in the control panel. Now draw a box around the outline or alternately click each outline segment one at a time.

    Best regards,
    Ole

first of all , make sure the class of original lines are substrate\outline(in apd) or "board geometry\outline(alg)"

still the shape -> compose shape command

autogap is optional ; make sure the active class are also the one(s) mentioned above

make sure the lines are "closed", means they have no start point or end poitn, figureing a closed shape out

take care and try it , hope this helps

If you want to merge lines, use Fillet command with a radius set to 0 (zero).
Clic first segment, then second: they will be merged.
