Allegro 2 PDF searchable text?

archive
archive over 19 years ago

Hi all,
We are using Allegro v15.1 trying to plot pdf with searchable text in Adobe Acrobat standard 6.0?.
Can anyone help?
I saw the posting regarding mirrored text, but in v15.1, there is no "unvectorized selection" in plot set-up.
Only Vectorized, but is not searchable no matter if selected or not.
(see attached)

Thanks,
Mark

    Mark,

I know Cadence was bouncing back and worth with this. Originally there was a env variable to control whether the text was vecotorized or not which become obsolete by adding it to the Plot Setup form.

I do not have access to V15.1 but in 15.5.1 under Plot Setup I see a General tab, which matches the original Plot Setup form, and a new Windows tab with a Non-vectorized text control section to specify font mapping during output. Is it possible you are pointing to an old form ?

    Hope this helps,
