Hardware Requirements for Version 16

Anybody know what Microsoft Windows System Hardware Requirements for Version 16 ?

    Based on my experience with doing 16.0 beta testing it is seems that you should have a graphics card with at least 128Mb ram. I have done testing on 2 different machines, one with an older 64Mb card and the other with 128Mb card. The GUI response is significantly better on the machine with 128Mb card. The need for a better graphics card is because 16.0 is using the OpenGL graphics engine.

    As far as the CPU and memory are concerned, as always more is better. Most Allegro products are CPU and memory bound. This is especially true of the "back-end" products, PCB, APD, SI and the AutoRouter (SPECCTRA). This means buy the fastest CPU available. In the area of memory, buy enough so you are not paging. 2 Gigs are a good starting point for large PCB designs but you may need to up the total if you plan on auto-routing and/or signal integrity work.
