You can generate a Custom Report with any standard or user defined properties that are in your design.  Go into Tools > Reports and click on the New/Edit button at the bottom of the form and this will present you with the Extract UI form to generate a custom BOM Report.

The Extract UI form has 3 tabs and we will be working in the following 2 tabs for your report:

Data Fields = Select COMPONENT from the Database pulldown and click on the fields that you would like to add to your BOM.  NOTE: These are standard Allegro properties so you will select fields like REFDES, REFDES_SORT, COMP_PACKAGE, ETC.

Properties = Click "COMP_" in the Object Qualifier section and scroll down the Available properties list and click you user defined properties that you would like to see in the BOM.

On the right side of the form you will see all the fields and properties that you selected for addition into your custom BOM generation.  You can rearrange the fields by selecting the field and using the up and down arrow buttons on the right.  This will be saved in an extract view file.

Last thing you need to do is save this extract view file so click on the SAVE button then close the form.  Now in the Reports form you will see your saved extract view at the bottom of the list that you can double click so it appears in the bottom section of the form then click the Report button to generate the report.

You may have to do some tweaks to the output so go into Tools > Reports, click the New/Edit button, click the LOAD button to load the extract view that was saved previously and click the SAVE button to save your changes then repeat the report generation again until you are happy with the output.

    Hope this helps,

    Hello Michael,

Is there a way to get Manufacturer part no. in the custom defined BOM?

As long as it is attached to the component in Allegro as a Property you should be able to select it to be output during the custom report generation.

    Hope this helps,
