how to create varients.lst files

Dear friends,
  
          I am using allegro 15.7 L version.
  
     I exported userdefind properties of capture parts to the allgro (like : Description ) now i want to get those user defind atributes at the time of  allegro BOM generation.

    Can i use varients.lst files to get those extra fields,PLZ give me some guidlines to create varients.lst files
