Generating RS274x artwork without G36/G37

archive

Hi there,

I get this response from a PCB manufacturer regarding my generated RS274x artwork:

"these gerbers are generated with composite layers and negative plots (G36/G37 commands)

on such gerbers we can't do DRC check nor to ensure correct phototools ploting
please try to re-generate with stroke fill your copper pour instead with composites"

Can anybody tell me how (if possible) to generate my artwork without using the G36/G37 commands (although it seems like these at part of the RS274x standard)? I am using PCB editor 15.7 s066.

Any help is appreciated,
M. Vinding.

Your board house needs to merge the composites into a single layer. Some CAM software does this automaically.

You can not change the RS274X output from PCB Editor to not use composites.

You could output ODB++ or Gerber 600.

Another option is to find another suppler.
