Swapping Out Padstacks .....

archive
archive over 18 years ago

I've just migrated my footprint library from 15.7 to 16.0, cleaned-up padstacks and due to the naming of the padstacks I've created new padstacks with a preferred naming system.

In the symbol, how do I swap the new padstack ?

You probably could have ran the DB Doctor, rather than creating the padstacks again on the new tier.DB Doctor, apart from being used for verifying the integrity of the design database, also uprevs a database to the current version of software.

Now that you are already done with the migration, you can replace the padstacks on the drawing (.dra) by "replace padstack" command or alternatively from Tools->Padstack->Replace. Once replaced, save the drawing (.dra) file and create the symbol (.psm) file.

    Best Regards,
    Kishore
