Reading Gerber

Given a gerber 4x00 file with its corresponding drill file, is it possible to extract/create an aperture list? Why would I want to do this? I would like to import gerber files into OrCAD PCB Designer that have been created externally. I need a way to make the art_aper.txt file so OrCAD imports correctly.

There is a warning in the Cadence Help that reads "Important: Only Cadence artwork is supported." While it may be possible to make this work it's probably not worth the effort. I did find a solution that will accomplish what I'm trying to do for $50 - import, copy, past, and export gerber. It's called ViewMasterEZ.
