    Hello Sriram,

I hope there is no option to convert allegro to pads in one shot. But you can generated DXF and inport into pads.

    Regards,
    Satya

    Hi Sriram,

This is obviously the wrong forum for this discussion. You might try the (tor)Mentor.com site, but I'll give you a little forewarning... IT NOT EASY. There is NO direct translation to PADS. From PADS, yes, but not to pads. You can buy the CAM350 option and import Allegro gerbers and the like into a PADS format compatible with PADS. Aside from that, yes, you could output DXF (in a PADS compatible PADS dxf format, like IntelliCAD), but that will only get you graphics. To convert a usable database, you're outta luck.

Tell you customer to download the Allegro FreeView, and view your database. If they're only in need of fabrication data, that's all they need. If they need an intelligent database as an end product, they should have had you start in PADS.

    Good luck.
