Scrolling in PCB Layout

New to Allegro.  Trying to view customer design.  I know how to zoom and use the middle mouse button to  scroll threw the design.  However, can the keyboard arrow keys or something be used to scroll through the design?

You can use the arrow keys to pan up,down, left, right. The focus has to be in the editing window. You can also use the middle mouse button in the world window. Clicking on a spot in the world window with the middle mouse will position the view over that spot. A right mouse button selection in the world window allows you to move the display or resize the window

Okay, I probably don't have focus. Here is what I have tried but isn't working. Use the Zoom Fit icon on the toolbar to view the entire layout, use the Zoom Points icon on the toolbar, draw a box to zoom in, and at this point, the arrow keys don't do anything. Can you give me a simple example where the keys work? Thank-you.

    Tim,

Shouldn't need anything other than what you have done for an unmodified installation. Perhaps you have a value set for the variable "roaminc". This variable is found in the Roam category of your user preferences. The default is:

    set roaminc = 96

Or someone has changed the alias for up,down, left, right in an env file. Defaults are found in your installation directory/share/pcb/text/env

    # Bind roam operations to function keys
    set roamInc = 96
    alias Up "roam y -$roamInc"
    alias Down "roam y $roamInc"
    alias Left "roam x -$roamInc"
    alias Right "roam x $roamInc"

If you're using the arrows in the numeric keypad section you would of course have to have 'numlock' off

The below was copied directly from the Program Files/Cadence Design Systems/Allegro Free Physical Viewer 15.7/share/pcb/text/env file. Sounds like it should work. No, I'm not using a numeric keyboard (using laptop without keypad). Anything else I can check?

    # Bind roam operations to function keys
    set roamInc = 96
    alias Up "roam y -$roamInc"
    alias Down "roam y $roamInc"
    alias Left "roam x -$roamInc"
    alias Right "roam x $roamInc"

If you set the focus in the command window do the arrow keys then work? I seem to recall this being a problem a few years back.
