Are there any characters that can't be used in CIS as there are in Allegro? I would like to verify this before getting too far down the road with libraries and schematic. Thanks

    Hi
If you stick with the standard asci characters you should be ok. There are other factors to consider that may affect your
CIS database. SQL may have characters it does not support. Also the main concern is making sure your values conform
to the needed out put. Allegro package names a-z 0-9 - (dash) _(underscore) In Allegro you can search on acceptable characters either in the help or sourcelink.

Does this apply to pin names and signal names on the schematic as well as symbol names and footprint names?

The most comprehesive list of legal charaters can be found by opening the help Documentation in Allegro
    and searching on acceptable characters.

The first hit I get is Allegro PCB Editor Limits.
All of the various limits are listed.
