Conversion from Pantheon Layout to Cadence

Does anybody know if it is possible to convert from Intercept Technologies Pantheon Layout system into the Cadence Allegro PCB layout environment  ?

It is possible for me to get a Speccrtra .DSN file, from Pantheon, but I'm not sure this contains all of the information I need.

  • Correct me if i'm wrong, Pantheon is a Mentor derivative. If it is the case that the files are the same as Mentor then SpecctraQuest can read it through the Mentor import interface. This in turn will create a .brd file, tracks and all. Have not done such a conversion for some time but I think that it worked okay barring the aesthetics.

    Yes and no, it can read Mentor databases, but then saves in its own slightly diffferent format you need a converter to translate back to Mentor format.

  • I do not believe that there is any way to rebuild from a .dsn and I am not aware of any other method, other than a complete rebuild. Once all the parts and netlist etc is into Allegro you could create a specctra database from both ends and read the routes back.
