NC Drill Legend setup

archive
archive over 17 years ago

I have three questions regarding setup for NC legend. We are running SPB 16.01 on a Windows XP platform. 1. What is the best text editor to use to edit the default-in.dlt file? 2. Is there any way to control the line thickness of the legend chart other than editing after chart creation? If not, this would be a great enhancement; control of line (and rectangle) thickness for plotting purposes. 3. We have not specified drill symbols with our padstack creation. Is there a way to automatically generate symbols along with the legend table? I thought there was but I can't seem to find it now. Thanks

    1. Personal preference. Just use one that doesn't add special characters. I use Textpad or Notepad.
    2. Not that I know of, but you can see if adjusting the Default Line Weight in Plot Setup helps. (FYI; if you are also doing a gerber, you can set the Undefined Line Width in the artwork control form)
    3. Select Manufacture->NC->Drill Customization then click on Auto Generate Symbols.

    hi,

you can control Drill Chart size by editing defaults-mils.txt file.
it is located in installation directory>>cadence>>share>>pcb>>ncdrill etc.
location path i dont know is correct but it is somewhat like this only.

    Regards,
