Missing drill data

archive over 17 years ago

I have used Allegro for many years, but this one has got me stumped.  I created the pcb, made the drill chart (which is correct having the proper hole count) but when I made the NC drill tape (.tap) a few of the drilled holes do not match the quantity that is on the board.  Any ideas????

PS I even tried replacing the offending padstack with another and the same thing happens.

Are any of your padstacks defined as slots (vs Circle Drill)? If so, they won't show up in the nc drill, but would need to be defined in the fab drawing or with an nc route file.

No slots. Just a single circular drill.  It is on a particular component that I have used many times, a To92. There are 3 pins per device and there are 4 to92's so that is 12 holes, but the drill tape will only show 4 of them.........  (025c035p.pad)  .025 drill with a .035 pad circular, plated.

Only other thing I can think of is to check your log file from when you generate the nc drill and see if there are any warnings.

I already did, and it showed the 12 holes as being there! That's why I don't get it. Why does the ncdrill.exe miss them?
