USER PREFERNCEs: use it with care.
I explain: tis is only for user's prefrence settings. If someone else with another account open the pcb, then the result cn be different: some way to do DRC can be modified with user's preference.
Sometime, if $HOME is not set for the user onmy (such as network drive) but only with local drive (C:), then the preferencee does not follow your account but is valid only on the speciifed computer.

Knowing that, i do not use user's preference to modify path's or setttings impacting DRC's. I use CDS_SITE store informations in cpm's file.

User's preference is fine to controle mouse behavoir and so on...

My opinion? If you're new to Allegro - DO NOT - change preferences unless you've read up on the settings. These can drive you nuts! Leave well enough alone, and take your time to understand what they do.

    Good day.
