Schematic partition

Is there a way for multiple engineers to work independantly on the same schematic and constraint manager similar to design partition on the allegro side?

If not has anybody devised any methodlogies to do this?

Thanks,

Toby

Hi Toby, curious of your schematic entry platform, would it be Design Entry CIS or Design Entry HDL?

    Toby,

I guess you are talkning DEHDL here - because you mention the Constraint Manager

The way I see people doing team design in DEHDL is to use multiple hierarchial blocks, then have the engineers work on their respective blocks including add constraints, then import all the sub-designs (blocks) into a top level design. Lower level constraints are pushed across to the top level design.

It's better to have multiple projects that the engineers work on then import into one top level design, if the engineers are all working on the same design there will be problems.

Yeah I secound that Andy, a Hierachial approach probably is best suited, and once the design is complete, bring all the files into one at the end.
