marking check (silk check)

Is there a checking method in Allegro to determine the angle of rotation of the silk (refdes)? For example i want the silk at the top layer to be only 0 and 90 degrees rotation, is there a way i could check for a silk rotated at 180 or 270 degree?

Thanks.

regards,
eric

    Hello.

Here is a SKILL routine I wrote for us. It asks for allowed rotation (0 and 90 allowed for TOP and 0 and 90 or 270 for bottom). Then it shows refdes that do not match this criteria.

It only displays log files with location of text. You can browse to the location by clicking it in the log file.

It also asks if you want to check texts inside place bound shapes (quite long to proceed):It checks if bBox of text fall into shapes. The bBox of text is the text itself with a larger part on the botttom of each due to the underscore symbol. So it reduces a little the bBox of each text to avoid all to be returned as fault...

    usage:

put the check_silk.il file in your skill configuration if you know how to proceed with that.

If not, put it in the "physical" working directoy of your BRD, load it into allegro:

    Command > (load "check_silk.il")

    use it by typing:

    Command > chksilk

    check_silk.zip
