PSpice - Tip of the Week: Tired of running lengthy simulations again and again from the start?

Use Save Check point and Restart simulation options to avoid running a long simulation from the start. Run the simulation only for the portion of time that is expected to have the outputs of interest. The Checkpoint Restart feature lets you save the state of a transient simulation at different moments as checkpoints. You can specify any of the checkpoints as a restart point and rerun the simulation from that point.

Find this option under simulation settings Analysis Tab for Transient Time Domain Analysis as highlighted below

For the oscillator below circuit, observe how the change of capacitor value from400pF to 100pF changes the clock input from time 4us onwards using Checkpoint Restart.
