You can save the monte carlo log file (.mcp) to see randomly generated model parameter values used in each run.
You can also reuse these model parameter values generated in .mcp file in the next monte carlo analysis.
To enable this, click the MC Load Save… Button in simulation settings as shown below:
Enable “Save Parameter values in file” option and browse to the location where you want to save the .mcp file.
Enable “Load Parameter values from file” option and browse to the existing .mcp file to use it for the run.
Below image shows the format of .mcp file. Here, value of R2 is varied in each run based on its tolerance.
Note that the first run is always on the nominal parameter values of the components.
Cadence Design Systems
With regards to the parameter values, what are they? Are they multipliers based on a random percentage? If they are multipliers for the actual value, I am seeing wild swings in what could be just a 1k resistor.
