How do you simulate the effect of varying parameters in your design?

While simulating any design, you often try to simulate the effect of change in parameter values of different components in the design.

This change can be either in the values of discrete components like resistor and capacitor or any source like voltage and current.

How do you simulate the design for various component values, voltage, or temperature range?

  1. Change the values of components and sources manually and record the output for each run.
  2. Use the parametric sweep option available in PSpice to reduce the manual effort.
  3. Any other approach?

PSpice lets you sweep various kinds of variables to simulate the impact of change in parameter values in one go. You can even sweep the model parameters.

We would like to know how useful you found this Parametric Sweep feature in PSpice. Your comments will help readers to understand and explore the various approaches.
