How to recover from failed update?

When I recently started PSpice for TI, it prompted me to update (from version 17 to version 23). I clicked on the update option, but the update apparently failed, presumably because the old version was still running.
The installation process completed without errors, but when I try to start "PSpice for TI", I get the hourglass symbol for a few seconds, but the application doesn't start and I don't get an error message.  If I try to start  "PSpice for TI help", I get 2-3 error messages with the title "_cda.exe - Entry Point Not Found".
When I try to log in to the support page (www.cadence.com/.../support.html) I get a registration confirmation e-mail, even though I am already registered, and when I try to submit a support request, I am prompted to supply a "Host ID / Key", which I have no idea how to do. How can I get back to a working installation?

The answer was simple, and I received it from TI support.

All I had to do was uninstall and reinstall PSpice for TI.

The only complication was that I had to re-request the download, but since TI had my original request on record, the download link and access code were provided immediately via e-mail.
