How to speed up PSpice Simulation Runs?

AyushD
AyushD over 1 year ago

SPB 23.1 release HF03 onward, PSpice Simulator provides support for parallel simulation to generate faster simulation results and to improve performance for the following analysis types:

  • Monte Carlo analysis

  • Parametric analysis

  • Temperature Sweep analysis

To enable parallel simulation runs, use the following options:

  • .OPTIONS ENABLE_PARALLEL_MONTECARLO for Monte Carlo analysis

  • .OPTIONS ENABLE_PARALLEL_PARAMSWEEP for Parametric analysis

  • .OPTIONS ENABLE_PARALLEL_TEMPSWEEP for Temperature Sweep analysis

You can also define the maximum number of parallel jobs to be completed in a simulation using the following syntax:

  • .OPTIONS MAX_PARALLEL_JOBS = <integer>

Note: The maximum number of parallel runs will depend on the available cores in your system.
