How can I export and view PSpice simulation results in MATLAB?

Allegro PSpice Simulator provides an interface with MATLAB that allows you to export simulation waveform data for advanced plotting, visualization, and further analysis.

After running the PSpice simulation and plotting the required traces, configure the MATLAB installation path using:

Tools> MATLAB >Set MATLAB Path

Set the path to:

<MATLAB installation>\bin

To export simulation data, go to:

Tools > MATLAB >Export Selected Traces

The Export to MATLAB window allows you to:

  1. Select one or more traces for export.
  2. View simulation variables in Flat or Hierarchical format.
  3. Select the required section for multi-section simulations.
  4. Specify a MATLAB variable name for the exported data.
  5. Use the default plotTraces function to visualize the traces in MATLAB.

Click Export to transfer the selected trace data to MATLAB. If no variable name is provided, PSpice automatically creates a variable such as:

PSpiceData_<instance number>

You can then use MATLAB functions for customized waveform analysis, including advanced plots such as polar and 3D plots.
