SysCap – Tip of the Week: Highlighting instances from Live BOM

You may often want to see where a component is placed in the design when you view the Bill of Materials (BOM). In System Capture, you can highlight a component instance directly from Live BOM.

Right-click on a part row in Live BOM and select Highlight Instance.

When you have multiple instances of a part, the first instance gets highlighted on the schematic canvas. All other instances are listed in the search results from where you can locate a specific instance.
