The warning message indicates that the ID you specified in your Actran input file is ambiguous because it could refer to either a component or a boundary condition (BC). Actran has chosen to interpret it as a component, but you should renumber your BC if this is not what you intended.

    How to Fix It

    • Ensure all component and BC IDs are unique.
    • If you see this warning, check your input file for duplicate IDs between components and BCs.
    • Change the ID of either the component or the BC so that each has a unique number.
    • After renumbering, update any references to the old ID elsewhere in your input file.

    Best Practice

Always maintain a unique numbering system for all objects (components, BCs, etc.) in your Actran input files to avoid ambiguity and ensure correct model interpretation. This is a warning, not an error, so your solve will continue, but it is best to resolve it to avoid confusion or unintended results.

I'm having an issue that the stress is not being displayed on some shell elements. The coupling has been defined correctly. Could this warning message be responsible for that?

The warning message you received indicates that an ID used in your model could refer to either a component or a boundary condition (BC), and Actran is defaulting to interpret it as a component. If this is not what you intended, it could lead to incorrect associations in the model, potentially affecting couplings and, consequently, the calculation or output of stresses on certain elements. If the coupling is not correctly associated with the intended component or BC, the stress results may not be computed or output as expected.
