Hello,

My Actran GUI crashed while a solution was running. How can I view the step-by-step solver display again to see the current status ?

Thank you
Dilen

If your Actran GUI crashes while a solution is running, you can still monitor the solver's progress and view the step-by-step display by accessing the solver's log or output files directly. The Actran solver runs independently of the GUI, so its status and progress are recorded in these files.

When you launch a solution in Actran, the solver writes its progress and step-by-step status to output files in the working directory. The main files to check are typically:

    • *.log (log file)
    • *. trace (more detailed log file)

Use a text editor (such as Notepad, Notepad++, or less / tail on Linux) to open the log or output file.

    • The file will contain a step-by-step record of the solver's progress, including the current step, any errors, warnings, and convergence information.
