file output ".nam" from A/Insight

Hello,

I'm using a suspension model in A/Car. When the model is run using for example a "Suspension Analysis: Static Loads" analysis the .nam file is created.

However when I then take this model and run an A/Car insight model the multiple load cases do not generate the .nam output files (.req generated). Also, when I generate the .adm and .acf files of A/Car insight and run them externally thru the solver the .nam output files are not generated.

Is there a way to generate the .nam files from the A/Car insight model? I don't see an output option for this.

joe.

The name file only maps request names to ID numbers. So you can simply take the name file from the singular run and rename/copy to the same name as the outputs from the Insight runs. In most cases you would not look at the individual runs from a DOE, but only the dedicated DOE runs.
But better would be to change your outputs to only use the results file. If that is in xml format, it already have all the names and components for requests that makes the name file unnecessary.
Another alternative is to read in the request file to an existing model. Then the requests should automatically be mapped to the model. (But you need to have submitted one analysis first to assign the ID numbers).

Which version of ADAMS are you using?
