Hi everybody, i want to reorient full vehicle assembly (MDI_demo_vehicle) in Adams 2023.4.1, i want to rotate vehicle (180,180,0).

I have tried all combination to use or not (Keep Current Road Position, Retain Parametrization) but after rotation vehicle is not able to make Static Equilibrium Analysis

static
I have tried rotation (180,0,), in that case i do not have problem with static equlibirum
also rotation (0,180,0) and then again rotation (0,180,0) broke model

Any idea what in model can be cause thi issue

Thanks in advance

Jozef

    Hi Jozef,
Why don't you reposition the road instead? this is very common with .crg
    Thanks,
    Alexis

    Hi Alexis,

Idea is to use Vehicle as FMU in Simulink and controls vehicle there. Simulink ( Vehicle Dynamics Blockset) uses CS oriented in such way that X goes in vehicle direction, Z goes down.

I wanted to set location and orientation of multiple vehicles in Simulink as Fmus and Reposition feauture in Adams was looking interesting.

    Hi Jozef,
Instead of rotating the ACar ref marker, can you generate a new marker in ACar at the right place with the Simulink orientation? then match the Acar ref marker position to that newly Simulink marker, but maintaining the ACar orientation.

    Hi Jozef,

Would changing the vehicle orientation using the settings below help?

In older versions this was accomplished using below variables in the CFG file:
