How are the balls in a ball bearing numbered when using Bearing AT ?

I have requested for the Rolling Elements data and I have the load data segregated as Ball_1_Load, Ball_2_Load and so on. I need to have precise details of which ball exactly is being refereed to. If anyone has any idea, it would be of great help.

    Hello Sinha,

a bearing rolling elements are numbered as shown on the figure attached. So the right hand rule is applied wrt. bearing reference marker having the 1st element (dark gray color) on the X axis. You can also sort it out by highlighting the "gra_1" ellipsoid in the database navigator.

Note that the "Ball_1_Angular_Pos" component of the Rolling Elements request plots the value of angle of rolling element position vector wrt. the bearing reference marker (used for bearing element creation - see "Modify Ball Bearing " dialog box.
Additionally you might find helpful to animate bearing element load distribution (go to menu Bearing AT - Animation Settings) by color coding the rolling elements based on the threshold value in "Max. Load" field - defined in the "Visual" tab in the "Modify Ball Bearing " dialog box.

    Greetings,
    Jan
