To correlate gear mesh forces between Romax's Gear Mesh Force reports and the Shaft Static Analysis window, first identify all nodes associated with the gear in the Shaft Static Analysis. Sum the forces at these nodes for the relevant direction. The total should match the corresponding force in the Gear Mesh Force report, keeping in mind that the Shaft Static Analysis uses the local shaft coordinate system while the Gear Mesh Force report uses the global coordinate system. Always verify the axis orientation to ensure accurate comparison. For example, if two nodes each show 296.5 N in the X direction, the total (593 N) should match the Z force in the Gear Mesh Force report if the axes are aligned accordingly.
