Hydroforming using a simple-shaped tube

Is it possible to HydroForming analysis with 2D-axisymmetric condition?

I have recently been running simulations of hydroforming with a simple-shaped tube as an exercise.
Now I select "3D" for simulation type, and fluid pressure is applied to the inner surface as a surface load acting as a boundary condition.

Since the shape is perfectly axisymmetric, I want to do an axisymmetric analysis if it's possible.
However, if I select the 2D axisymmetric simulation type, surface loads can only be applied in the circumferential direction.
I need to apply the load in the radial direction.

Please teach me if you know a good way to do this.

I use "Simufact Forming 2026.2".

    Hi Akito,

No, it's not possible to define face load for 2d axis symmetric processes. The only workaround I can offer is to use a point load and calculate the force based on your element size, if X,Y or Z matches the radial direction.
