Solid Objects Simulation for 3D Structures: 3D solid objects can be created using the Solid Objects Simulation for 3D Structures interface or imported from external files. After the design has been created or imported, you can modify the design, specify material properties, set boundary conditions, configure simulation options, and run the simulation.

The following flowchart provides a visual representation of the steps involved in 3D solid objects simulation:

Solid Objects Simulation for Layered Structures: For very large ECAD designs, you can use the Solid Objects Simulation for Layered Structures module for faster runtime and better capacity. After the design has been imported, you can modify the design, specify material properties, set boundary conditions, configure simulation options, and run the simulation.

The following flowchart provides a visual representation of the steps involved in solid objects simulation for layered structures:

Fluid Flow Simulation System designs consist of solid parts and fluid regions. After you import a solid object design in the Fluid Flow Simulation module, you need to simplify the geometries by removing unnecessary details for better mesh quality. To model the fluid environment, you must define a bounding box as an enclosure for the fluid regions. If your design also features external casing, such as chassis, you need to define the chassis dimensions, add optional venting holes or fans, and configure the mesh options before running the simulation. You can then extract the CFD model for use in Solid Objects Simulation for Layered and 3D Structures.

The following flowchart provides a visual representation of the steps involved in fluid flow simulation and extraction:
