Let’s explore various workflows available in Celsius Layered structures

The Solid Objects Simulation for Layered Structures module offers the following workflows:

 

  • PCB/PKG Static Thermal Simulation
  • PCB/PKG Transient Thermal Simulation
  • Chip Thermal Simulation
  • Package Thermal Characterization
  • Multi-Board/Package E/T Co-Simulation

 

The workflow you select should be based on whether you want to perform static/transient simulation of your PCB/PKG design, analyze the chip thermal based on the chip power maps provided by Voltus, thermal characterization, or multi-board E/T co-simulation.

 

Layout Workbench enables you to switch modes to access different workflows related to

Celsius. To switch modes, perform the following steps:

  1. Select Switch Workflow from the File menu. The Switch Workflow dialog box displays.

        2. Select the required workflow on the right pane.

        3. Click OK. The related workflow opens in Layout Workbench.
