Overview of Clarity 3D Workbench

As an ECAD engineer, you design products for industries like automotive and Internet of Things (IoT) among others. Your tasks might include working with electronic packaging design elements like merging a package design with the printed circuit board (PCB), or importing and merging mechanical structures such as cables and connectors with the PCB. You must be extremely careful while working on the design because even a minor error might cause the entire design to fail.

What you need is a tool that makes your life easier—a tool that enables you to import and merge the mechanical structures with the PCB at the exact location. And yes, there is such a tool and it's called Clarity 3D Workbench!

Clarity 3D Workbench is a part of the Cadence Clarity 3D Solver solution that is designed for electromagnetic and power electronics analysis and simulation. Clarity 3D Solver also includes the Clarity 3D Layout tool.

Clarity 3D Workbench enables you to import mechanical structures, such as cables and connectors, and merge them with the PCB. This allows the critical 3D structures that cross from the board to the connector to be modeled and optimized as one structure.

Benefits of Clarity 3D Workbench include:

  • Easy-to-Use GUI
  • Model Analysis and Healing Functions
  • Importing Design in Other Formats
  • Importing and Exporting Components
  • Creating a Design
