How to improve simulation accuracy when a trace is close to same layer metal shape

By default, Power SI do not consider the reference from the same plane when calculating the impedance. To include the impact of layer metal shape on a trace, In the Workflow > Setup ERC Sim Options, select the Detect and model the coplanar traces option. With this option enabled, the effect from the same layer reference (coplanar metal shapes) is considered during simulation, thereby improving the accuracy of the simulation results.
