Tip of the Week - How to update the Trace-End Properties in an SPD file

You can update a trace-end shape to improve its physical connections with other components. You can also update the trace-end shape of a single or multiple traces. Please follow the steps below: 

    1. Select the trace in a design. 

        

    2. Right-click and select the Trace<number> from the shortcut menu to open the Trace Properties dialog box. Choose the Round or Flat option from the Starting Node or Ending Node drop-down list. 

        

        

        One end of the trace becomes flat, as shown below. 

        

        OR 

        Right-click and select the Trace End Shape > Round or Flat option from the shortcut menu. 

         

         Both ends of the trace become flat, as shown below.
