Sigrity Aurora solver to calculate crosstalk of parallel vias

Sigrity Aurora does not have a 3D solver; it uses a hybrid solver for crosstalk analysis. A hybrid solver is a combination of three different solvers that run independently but communicate with each other at each time step or frequency point. The three solvers are as follows:

  1. Plane/EM Solver takes into account coupling between vias, reflection from edges, resonances, power and ground voltage fluctuations, and metal/dielectric losses.
  2. Circuit Solver handles linear and nonlinear circuit components, including IBIS models and HSPICE transistor models.
  3. Transmission Line Solver includes trace coupling, skin-effect loss, dielectric loss, and frequency-dependent dielectrics.

Here, the Plane/EM Solver takes care of the crosstalk between parallel vias.

IDA crosstalk is simulated in the time domain. Here, you can set the Rise Time. 

The frequency BW (bandwidth) of the simulation can be calculated using the following formula:
