Sigrity – Tip of the week: How to measure peak-to-peak noise voltage in SystemPI

In the Power Integrity world, engineers mostly verify the design in time domain by measuring the peak-to-peak noise and comparing it against the system-level specification.

Sigrity SystemPI lets you do measurements of the peak-to-peak noise in a defined range of simulation results.

Once Impedance and Power Ripple Analysis is completed:

1. In the Result section, access the Waveform and Spectrum display window by right-clicking on the specific curve.

2.The range is defined by manually selecting a region in the simulated waveform. Then, the tool will measure the peak-to-peak noise based on the dragged window.

Now, Sigrity SystemPI adds multiple measurements based on dragged windows.

How do you measure the noise voltage in your simulations?

Let us know your experience and share your thoughts about this feature.
