Sigrity - Tip of the week: How to automatically enforce passivity in Sigrity PowerSI

As you know, ensuring passivity in S-Parameter models is crucial for accurate time-domain simulations and proper DC values at low frequencies. Non-passive S-Parameter models can cause non-convergence issues and affect the accuracy of your simulations.

Thanks to Sigrity PowerSI, you can now enforce passivity in your S-Parameter results automatically, making it easier to obtain accurate and reliable simulation results.

To enable this feature, go to Tools > Options > Edit Options, click the General option in the Simulation (Basic) tab, and check the box next to Automatically output enforced passive results.

When you have enabled this option, Sigrity PowerSI will output enforced passive results automatically, eliminating the need to simulate the layout again. This feature saves you time and effort while ensuring that your S-Parameter models are passive and ready for further postprocessing.

What are your thoughts on this feature? Have you tried it out yet? Share your experiences and questions below!
