How to create Power Nets / GND Nets and VRMs for the PCB design for Sigrity Power DC Simulation

Dear Community,

Currently I have a PCB BRD file for which I want to calculate the IR drop, Current density and Voltage drop, but when I try to import the PCB board file to the Sigrity Power DC, I see there are no Power / GND Nets defined, and the VRMs are also not defined, how to create the Power Nets and VRMs for the PCB design.

Regards,

Rohit Rohan

The net definitions for a signal/power/ground should be defined in a layout design tool, and then translated into a signal environment. However, you can right-click on the required net and classify it as power/ground net.

For the VRM definition, follow the work flow > Setup VRM in Power DC

    Hai Shiva,

One doubt, is it in schematic capture we have to select the net and right-click then define the net as signal / power and ground?.

you could do the signal / power and ground net classification in powerdc netmanager as well..
