How to perform the PDN analysis using the Sigrity Aurora

RohitRohan
RohitRohan 4 months ago

Dear Community,

I am working on a PCB board and would like to perform a Power Distribution Network (PDN) analysis. I am currently using the Sigrity Aurora license. Could anyone guide me on how to carry out the PDN analysis using the Sigrity Aurora tool?

Your insights and assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Rohit Rohan

    Hi Rohit,

Cadence Sigrity Aurora provides analysis and checking capability within the Allegro PCB Editor framework. A couple of Power Integrity workflows are available in Sigrity Aurora:

    1) IR Drop Workflow

    2) Power Inductance Workflow

You can refer to this RAK for a step-by-step guide on performing IR Drop Analysis in Aurora. This flow would help users before finalizing the layout and reduce iterations between the Layout engineer and PI engineer.

For AC PDN and Transient PDN analysis you can use Sigrity SystemPI Workflow along with Sigrity extraction technology.

    Regards,

    Javier
