Symbol with design variable

Hi
I am a new user. I have a circuit with one Inductor and I have made a symbol of that circuit (Create-Cellview-From cellview) and I need to instantiate this symbol several times in another circuit. However, I need to assign different inductance to that inductor for each instants.

Would you please let me know how I can set it up?

Thank you very much

    Hamid,

In your circuit with one inductor, you can set the value of the inductor to (say) pPar("indval") . Then use Create->Cellview from Cellview again (you can use "Modify" mode rather than Replace), and it will update the CDF for your cell.

Then in the CIW, go to Tools->CDF->Edit CDF, and set the CDF type to "Base". You can then set the default value for the parameter indval for your cell, and change the prompt to something other than indval (e.g. "Inductance") to give a more meaningful prompt.

Then if you instantiate your symbol, you'll get prompted to set the inductor value.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
