How do I specify the number of pulses with vpulse? For example, I only need 10 cycles of the signal.

Maybe you can use a "bit" source (e.g. vbit, or vsource in "bit" mode)? This has control over the number of repetitions of the sequence (which could be "10").

    Regards,

I tried. It is pretty handy. Let me go a little further. If I would like to have 3 groups of pulses(period is 10nS; each group has 10 pulses). In between each group, there is 10mS dead time(no active pulses). Other than using vbit and switch, could there be any other better way to achieve it? The problem I have with the vbit and switch combo is the long simulation. vbit is always running in dead time, which slows down the simulation a lot. Thank you.

I'd either use a vector file input to spectre (see "spectre -h vec_include" or "spectre -h vcd_include" - apologies if I've misremembered this as I'm offline), or write a Verilog A model.
