Slow Page Load Times

Hello,

I am trying to naviage this site with a Linux desktop I use for CAD design and find it almost unusable. This was not  the case with  the old forum site. Many of the wiz bang features are not translating on my platform ? Is there something I am missing?

It is taking over 45 seconds to load the main page and I'm on a fiber link at home and many othersites seem to be functioning as expected.   Very dissapointed with this offering ...

Here is some data for me fething your home page and it takes close to a minute !

  • Hey there Circuit,

We definitely want to support the broadest platform/browser combinations possible so will look into your specifics with you offline. And we want users coming over from cdnusers.  But, as with any transition, there are things to go through. I will contact you directly to investigate further.

As for the 'whiz bang' features, we didn't intend to offer anything that wasn't actually useful to users, but we definitely wanted to offer things like private messaging, private email, friends, post rating. We have had positive feedback on these features.

On performance, for these direct URLs we expect to be good for the majority of our visitors:
    http://www.cadence.com/community
    http://www.cadence.com/community/forums/

The commuity zone is running on 'Community Server' which is an engine with a good reputation.

    Regards
