Need info regarding tool development for Cadence Environment

 Hello Guys,

I have a very non-technical kind of question to ask. I don't know if this forum will be appropriate place for this or not, but still would like to give it a shot.

Actually, I have an idea and thought that I would like to develop a plug-in for Cadence Environment. I would like to know following things:

1. From technical point of view, how can I integrate with the cadence environment? What are the thigs I need to learn or know in order to integrate my tool?
2. Do I need to contact Cadence and get the permission to integrate it?
3. If I owuld like to have commercial benefit out of it, do I need make some kind of marketing contract with Cadence?
