Hey @ all,
i just moved over from the OrCAD/forum cause it looks like it is allready closed.
I am just wondering, if the posts from that forum will get kept alive, or if they are lost??
I am still looking for a forum search, so maybe someone can help me to find the link :?
EDIT:
OrCAD/forum is still alive :)
I also found the search, but it's not a big help.

Poppy,
that is the forum where I am comming from ;)
EMA is going to close it.
I put a question in the Cadence Questions forum on 01 Sep 2009 asking for official info for when things might happen as promised in their e-mail of 23 July 2009. The question was just moved, with no reply, to the PCD Design forum. So, someone with Cadence apparently decided that we don't need any answers to any of our questions regarding OrCAD -- neither about the forum move nor the software itself.
I'm guessing that Cadence is simply trying to kill OrCAD yet again, still failing to realize that no one is going to pay them $25k for software to draw a schematic with 100 parts on it. Dumping the old forums would minimize an organized opposition to their moves.
My renewal is up soon, but with this total lack of support from Cadence, I'm wondering if I should waste my money on another meaningless "upgrade." Better to live with the bugs you have than get new ones with no support!
The OrCAD forum move was delayed but will be coming soon. The forums are still active on the original site.
I moved the the the thread over to the PCB Design section thinking it would be a better place for it. Sorry for the confusion.
