my post was moved to an unrelated forum

Why was this done? How can I get help on this issue this way? The question was about PSpice and models and code...forum this was moved to is PCB design, and I don't even use that program...?
  • PSpice is a product from the Silicon - Package - Board product group, hence the enquiry was indeed moved to a relevant forum since PSpice users would also be looking in the PCB Design related forums. In terms of the issue you have with the simulation models, there would be a fair amount of work required to "fix" the library issue since the PSpice libraries are merely searched in order for the model name, one DMOD is exactly the same as any other as far as the library search is concerned since it is only looking to match the model called by name. The model text would need to be modified to rename the models used internally by a specific component and also change the calling instances of those models. I have left the original post unanswered since someone might have a good idea, maybe teh device vendor was not intending the models to be combined in the same library, or design.
  • DeanS, this is relevant forum for PSpice related issues. I also believe that only solution is to rename model names associated with a subckt to make them unique.
