Copy signal value from Simvision wave dump

I am opening waves.shm wave dump using simvision.

I would like to know, is there any way I could copy the signal value at TimeA either from gui or console.

In the attached screen shot I would like to copy value circled in blue colour.

I use simvision version 17.10-a001

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

  • Middle click the signal name and select "Describe". This will print the signal with value in the Console. Then you can copy it from there.

    Thank you very much for the response, unfortunately it did not work for me.
    I am opening waves.shm after running simulation in batch mode.
    Command 'describe' seems to be xcelium command (simulator tab) which is not available when opening waves separately.
    Also when I middle click on the signal, it is not giving me any option/list to select.
    Is there anything I need to enable to get this feature.

  • I found a way to do this. In the SimVision console window, type the command "waveform values [waveform cur]" and it prints out the current value, which can then be copied. Or if you want values for all signals being shown, you can just do "waveform values" by itself.
