Search and Replace in schematic view

Hi,

Is their any method to replace the symbols in the schematic to be replaced with other symbols. (May be from same library or different library).

I tried Edit->replace option. Its only changing the cell name of device but model names are not changing accordingly. With this i can not simulate the schematic.

So please let me know...the appropriate method if any?

Maybe try using Edit > Global Update > Global Component Change?

This is probably the challenge of not posting in the right forum, and not stating the tool being used. My guess (from the menu name) is that the question was about the Virtuoso Schematic Editor, and the response was maybe talking about the Allegro or Orcad tool suite?
