If you’ve ever spent hours customizing plots only to repeat the same steps for every new run, you know the struggle. Fortunately, we solved that challenge long ago with Plotting Templates—a powerful feature designed to save time and effort by letting you reuse your favorite plot configurations across runs and maestro views. But until recently, it had one limitation: Plotting templates worked only in New Window or Replace mode. That meant comparing results from different runs in a single graph window was…well, not so simple, but not anymore!

Plotting Templates in Append Mode: Compare Results without Juggling between Graph Windows

With the latest enhancements we made in IC25.1 ISR3, plotting templates now support Append Mode. This is a game-changer. You can reuse the same template and append results from multiple histories into a single graph window. No more juggling multiple windows or manually aligning plots—just seamless comparison across different simulation runs.

Plot Filtered Corners: Focus on What Matters Most

If you’re working with hundreds of corners, analyzing everything at once can feel overwhelming.
Starting from IC25.1 ISR3, you can use the Filter Corners option to selectively view the results in the Results tab for the corners that matter most. Combine this with Plot Filtered Corners option to apply your plotting template only to the corners currently visible in the Results tab.

How?

• Use the Filter Corners option to filter the corners of your interest.
• Select a plotting template.
• Click Plot Filtered Corners.

These enhancements make waveform analysis more flexible, efficient, and intuitive. Whether you’re comparing multiple simulation runs or drilling down into specific corners, you now have the tools to do it all—without wasting time or losing clarity.
